I love WooCommerce and use it for more than 10 different stores. Today I am setting up a new store. https://www.feel-to-heal.com/ there are two products. One is free and one costs $20. Each product has a couple downloadable mp4 videos. The free product works well. People can checkout without a credit card which is what is intended. However, then they are logged in and want to download the videos, there is a message File not found Go to shop. The URLs to the videos work independently from WordPress/WooCommerce. https://www.feel-to-heal.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/GUIDED%20TENSION%20TECHNIQUE%20DAY.mp4 This is the URL to the file and it will display just fine when entered into a browser. However, the URL from the Downloads page in WooCommerce has a different URL which does not work. How can I fix this?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hey @ianerickson,

    Thanks for reaching out!

It looks like logged-in users are encountering a file not found error when trying to download their purchases, correct?

If you navigate to the Product edit page for the downloadable product exhibiting this behavior, are you seeing the correct URL in the “File URL” input box within the Product data section?

If so, as a first step, can you head over to?Dashboard → Settings → Permalinks, and resave your existing settings, without making any changes to the settings and see if this resolves the issue?

If this makes no difference, please can you share the following with us here:

    • System Status Report: navigate to?WooCommerce?→?Status. Select?Get system report?and then?Download for Support. This will download a TXT file that has the contents of the SSR which you can then share with us here.
    • Fatal Error log: Share a copy of any fatal error log found under WooCommerce → Status → Logs.
    • Screenshot: Please share a screenshot of the?WooCommerce → Settings → Advanced → Account endpoints section, as well as the error customers are seeing when logged in and wanting to download the video.

Snipboard.io?can be used for easily sharing screenshots – please follow the instructions on that page, then paste the URL in this thread.

    Cheers!

    Thanks Roxy for your help.

It turns out that the file size of the videos was too large. I added a couple small files in the manner you described and they download perfectly. I will try to figure out what WooCommerce means by ?X-Accel-Redirect/X-Sendfile I will try to get that installed and working also. That might be a help with larger files. https://woo.com/document/digital-downloadable-product-handling/ Thanks for the fast response and expertise.
