Downloadable Products – best shipping method

I understand that you’ve implemented multiple shipping rules and now want to seamlessly integrate downloadable products.

For downloadable products with no minimum spend and without showing delivery options, you can set up digital/downloadable product settings in the product editor. This makes shipping details disappear at checkout for these items.

If I put a product as virtual, so it bypasses the complex shipping we have set up on the site, how can I get the download to automatically email to the client?

Thanks for your question! Yes, it skips shipping since downloadable/virtual products don’t need to be shipped. If you want to send virtual products by email automatically, just make sure to check the “Virtual” and “Downloadable” boxes in the product data. As seen here: https://snipboard.io/TtyNFD.jpg

You’ll then be able to upload the file and set the download limit and expiry also seen on the image above. Once purchased, the download link is sent straight to the customer’s email.
