Downloadable product error

    Good morning,
    I bought a theme with Woocommerce for a bookshop, with both downloadable and physical products. After setting everything, it seems to work fine, except for the downloads. When the client buy a downloadable product, it appears an error message (“the download log entry could not be inserted into the database”) (in spanish, the language that its set it said “no ha sido posible insertar la entrada del registro de descarga en la base de datos”) After checking with my hosting, they said that everything in the database is fine, and the error may be in Woocomerce. I’ve checked everything and seems to be correct, but the error keeps appearing, and I cannot find any piece of information. I really need to solve that.

    That’s strange! As a first step, please share the following WooCommerce logs:

    • System Status: found under WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.
    • Error log: found under WooCommerce > System Status > Logs

    Upon checking, I can see that the database table wc_download_log exists on your site, so that’s good!

    Now, this kind of problem is usually caused by a conflict with your theme or with another plugin.
    ?
    The best way to determine this is to:

    • Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
    • Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
    • Repeat the action that is causing the problem

    If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.

    Before you start

    First, please make sure you have a good backup in place of your full site and database.

    Second, I would suggest installing a plugin called?Health Check & Troubleshooting. This is a plugin developed by the WordPress community and it allows you to disable plugins without affecting your current site visitors.
