I am looking (and looking) for a plug-in function. I have WP installed via an “installer” from my web host. The plug-ins that comes up in searches for my ‘installer’ WP are different from the ‘downloadable’ ones listed in WP.org.

EX: If I find a ‘downloadable’ plug-in from the WP.org site, I cannot find the same plug-in via the ‘add new plug-ins’ search from within my WP install search.

Can I install ‘downloadable’ plug-ins to my ‘installer’ installed WP site?
I have access to the server and database. However I am clueless – but willing to try.

  • @if the plugin on www.remarpro.com is older than 2 years old..You won’t be able to search ..
Though you can download the plugin from the official page in.zip format
And under plugins > Add new > Upload plugin > Browse and point to downloaded .Zip file..And you will be able to install the plugin.

Excellent info. I had no idea about the install method. Thank you for a quick response.
