I am a newbie. I just installed WordPress using BlueHost’s SimpleScript feature. I contacted BluHost and they said they download it on the server and not on my computer.

I know that WordPress.com creates blog sites for free, but we can’t really design themes and templates with it. Is this BlueHost thing different from that? Do I still have the same freedom to design my blog and stuff? Should I still download WP from www.remarpro.com?

I am very confused, I would appreciate any help! Thanks!

  • of course you can make change as much as you want if you host it your self or buying a host space to the hosting provider. Some hosting provider use cpanel which include wp automatic installation by their fantastico script.

The installation you did will have all the features of a wordpress.com blog and more. It is the exact same thing you would get if you downloaded the files from www.remarpro.com then uploaded them to the server. You will have the option to edit your theme, css, and all of that stuff.
