Download the Codex?

  • Is it possible to download the codex? As I develop my site, I often have to check back at the codex to read up on template tags, plugin hooks, and other information.
    It would be extremely pleasant to have a copy of this locally…

    I suppose I could just use a scraper but sometimes site admins get alarmed when they see a scraper downloading every single page from their site.

  • Don’t know if you’re aware of this or not (many people don’t seem to be) once you create an account on the Codex you will then have the ability to change skins by clicking “My preferences” at the top of the page then “Skin”. I have chosen Monobook which is a Wiki-skin. Once you do that you click “Main” in the left sidebar and a link that says “printable version” will appear under “toolbox” in the left sidebar.
