Is the drop down menu coming from your theme or a plugin?

The first menu is from the theme and the other two menus use jquery mega menu. All three break when the download plugin is active. My site is new.iem-inc.com.
I would really like to be able to use your plugin so please let me know if there is any way to work around this issue.

Hi can you test the following, disable your two jquery mega menus. Then test to see if your theme menu works with this plugin.

    Thank you

When I disable the Jquery Mega Menu plugin and I enable the Simple Download Monitor plugin, the dropdowns of the main first menu of the theme no longer work. The other two menus no longer appear of course, but the theme menu breaks then too. Anything else I can try??

Can you disable all your other plugins but none of the above and carry out another test. If that does not fix your issue, can you test one of WordPress themes like Twenty Fifteen? See what happens then?

If I disable all plugins other than Jquery Mega Menu, all three menus work. Then if I just make Simple Download active, the menus do not work.

I left it in the state of just those two plugins being active.

Hi what do you mean by

I left it in the state of just those two plugins being active.

Did you also test a different theme?

    Thank you

I meant I left the site up with broken menus in case you wanted to look at it. new.iem-inc.com

I switched to a different theme but since the menus are not a part of that theme, there is nothing there to test, so I switched back to the theme of the site, with the two plugins on and the broken menus.

Hi just by looking at your site I am almost sure this is a theme conflicting issue with this plugin. I have tested this plugin with various themes and different PHP versions and it works great.

And also with WordPress versions 4.2.5, 4.3.1, 4.4.

I am sure it works great but since it breaks my menus, are you saying I don’t get to use it? I am using about 20 other plugins in this site and none of them have caused the menus to break. The site is also on the latest version of wordpress. Is this the end of the research into the problem?

BTW, when I active your download plugin, my WordPress Notification Bar no longer works as well.

I would be happy to change something in the theme, if I just knew what to change, it’s a fairly old theme. Thanks.

Hi, if your theme is old do you know if it is compatible with WordPress 4.4?

We can only troubleshoot issues with the plugins. But we rarely fix issues with compatibility because we have no control over the other plugins or themes.

Also since you mentioned that your theme is old, the more of a reason to update to a new theme or upgrade this theme if it is possible.

If you don’t carry out this it could cause more issues in the future.

This is my golden rule, always have the latest version of WordPress, latest version of the Theme and the latest versions of the plugins. When ever a theme or plugin is not updated or upgraded for a period of time I simply change and move on. This has helped me in the past and present avoid a lot of head aches.

    My humble opinion.

    Kind regards
