Download Original picture than converted one

    Hello,

    i have installed the plugin since 3 days, i have activated it and run it to convert all my pictures. I have checked on under uploads that pictures have been converted to webp format by the plugin and these pictures are not used on my website frontend because when i download any picture from the frontend i see the extension is always png or jpeg not webp, to confirm also i have checked the size of the picture and it is the same size of the original picture not the converted one ( webp format), my browser supports webp format iam sure because i have tested it with many websites that use webp format.

    Thank you for your message.

    Tell me please, have you read the plugin FAQ? Did you read the answer to question “How to check if plugin works?” in the FAQ?

    Downloading an image will not tell you if the plugin is working properly. Why? In the plugin description you have clearly written “When you try to save the image to disk (e.g. by clicking Save as…) the original image will be saved. WebP is only used for browser loading.”.

    Hello,

    thanks for your response, how to check that the plugin is working good so and that it loaded webp images for browser? is there any method to be sure that webp images are loaded to browser that supports webp?
