Download monitor, Contact form 7 and Email before download not working anymore

Hi AdrienG16,

Do each of CF7 and DM work independently? If so, can you please provide a link that shows a page with 1) cf7 form working, 2) DM link working, 3) EBD not working.

Also, are you a new user of EBD or was this all working on the same site prior to 5.x?

I was able to download your files from https://carlbloom.com/protect-our-future/. Did you do something specific to resolve (I assume you disabled hide form default setting and/or enabled multiple checkboxes if those weren’t set before). Just confirming you are all set.

I updated the page you have one section with contact form alone where i get an email but without link
[contact-form-7 id=”xxxxx” title=”download a file”]

and one section with Email before download + contact form where the forme does not show at all on the page.
[email-download download_id=”xxxxx” contact_form_id=”xxxxx”]

PS: I noted a difference in the naming on the contact form id
the code is contact-form-7 id= on one end and not combined with you. If i update the naming the page doesn’t load at all…

Thanks for your response, but my issue is that the download page does not show inline links when users sign up. I have updated to 5.0.3 and the problem persists:

I received an email from your page with download links that worked. Can you please share your shortcode and check your default EBD settings page for what kind of delivery you have set? Are you attempting “both” delivery (both email and inline link)?

[email-download download_id= “847,950,952,954,956” contact_form_id=”853″]

I am indeed attempting “both” delivery – this is how I have it set up on the settings page.

Hi @outpost33,

I think it has to do with colons in your links since we use that to parse. We are changing some code to allow colons, but you can try removing the colons in the meanwhile to get your inline links to show up. Hope that helps. 5.0.4 release should be going out soon for the colon fix.

I’m not sure what you mean by colons in the links?

Also I have not changed anything recently – the inline links were working up until the update to version 5.

I removed the colons in the titles – there are none in the actual links so I assume this is what you mean?

This has not resolved the issue. The inline links do not appear when a user completes the form.

Same issue with 5.0.3. here. Inline does not show a download link after form is filled.

Also I could only enumerate download ids with apostrophes not quotes (it would say invalid link on last item if I used quotes).

And the default closed setting doesn’t seem to work with multiple downloads. This is on latest WP, php 7. No console/js errors.

Not sure if you tested my link before or after my web host restored from a back up to bring back previous version of EBD.

But since then I have fully updated all plugins, including EBD (5.0.3) and I have everything working at it should.

I did have to add some CSS to control the appearance of the download button but that was easy.

I appreciate your responsiveness and keeping the plugin alive. It’s served me well.

i confirm everything was working before the updates

I got everythin updated:

Download Monitor: 4.0.1
EMD: 5.0.4

I get this error:

So I found the problem and the form shows, however… after pressing the download button it takes some 20 sec then the green message from Contact Form 7 shows and below a tiny button with no text… when I click that button, nothing happens.
