Download Monitor adding image link

  • Hello all,

    I have seen that this question has been asked before but no answer was given. So I will try also.

    I use the Download Monitor plugin and I should be able to add an image to a download link. However either I am doing something very wrong or it just won’t work.

    Can anyone help me out here?

    I use the little downwards pointing arrow in the post option to add a download. I fill in the direct url to the download location and the direct url to the image location. I add it and I publish . However it won’t show up in my blog. The download link shows with the name I gave it but no image.

    When I look at the Download Monitor plugin options I do see the image.

    Obviously I need some help:-).

    Can it be done at all or am I misunderstanding the options of Download Monitor?

    To add an image you need to use the custom formats – It won’t show by default.

    But which custom format and how do I add them?

    I have looked at the list of formats but can’t make heads or tails from it:-(.

    I have been trying all sorts of things but I still don’t understand how to get this done.

    I have added an upload to Download Monitor through the little downwards pointing arrow and inserted it into my post resulting in this little piece of code:

    [download id=”1″]

    I assume I can remove this code from the post?

    I then added this to my post:

    How do I go about adding the hits counter to this image?

    I have been using Download Monitor for a very long time now (since septmber 2009), but never before with an image and I am totally lost.
