    I have set up a function for a client so that visitors can download documents after registering and
    for that I have of course been using “Email before download”, “Download monitor” and “Contact Form 7”. The function worked for some months. In May when I updated the site I noticed the problem with the new version of Download Monitor and therefore changed back to the earlier version 4.5.8 of the plugin.
    
    Since some time in November the functions is not working anymore.
    
    Last week I updated everything but no change. I uploaded version 4.5.8 of Download Monitor but still not working.
    
    I made a separate test of Contact Form 7 and it works!
    
    Then I made a test of Download Monitor and I get the message “Access denied to this file”.
    
    I then found information that one should register in the settings of Download Monitor if uploads directory was different from default. That is the case for my client, so I registered that.
    
    No change – I even uploaded a new test document – but still access is denied.
    
    What to do next?
