Download Media Library

    I need to move the Media Library from the old WP Hosted site to the new WP Hosted site. It didn’t export with Tools > Export

    Use your ftp client, download from server in your installation folder ”uploads” It is in wp-content folder in your root installation

    Now I can’t log into the original WP site to get the images.
    I can only log into my new site.

    Is there anything I can do to get these original files? I also assume I the database didn’t come over when I exported from the original site.

    If you can no longer login to your old site, you’ll need to ask the .COM folks to help you with this.

    Now I can’t log into the original WP site to get the images.

    If you want to get all the images from the old site, you need to use FTP as mentioned by flashrebel.
