Download Link Not Working

I tested the link and saw a “404” error. As a first step, make sure there is no other page or plugin using the slug “download”. Next, go to “Settings > Permalink” menu, click on the “Save Changes” button and then test the download again.

Let us know if that resolves the issue.

I have followed all steps suggested, deactivated and reactivated the plugin but the problem still persist. I have also updated the plugin to a recent version.

i fear i might lose all my data if i choose to reinstall the plugin..

You will not lose any data if you reinstall the plugin. However, that would not be required.

Can you first please make sure no other page or lost or any other plugin is using “download” in their URL?

I have removed all alternative plugins i installed when download monitor stopped working and there’s no page with the slug download.

Please try the following:

1. Go to “Downloads > Settings” and then on “Endpoint”. Change “download” to something else more unique such as “download-file”. Save it.
2. Go to “Settings > Permalinks” and without changing anything, just click on “Save Changes”.
3. Go to “Downloads”, click on any previous download you created and then save it again. Then copy the download link and test if the error is resolved.

Well turns out all suggested solutions are not working and now i need to try another plugin and dealing with migrating over 100 download files

Can you please let me know if you are adding this shortcode to our plugin or just the URL “https://naijacampusmusic.com/ncm_uploads/2019/02/Tan-Get-AwayNCM.mp3”?

Placing shortcode in our plugin will not work. Also, if you place this URL/link in our plugin, then you will also need to set the “Redirect to File” option for the download.

This is a security rewrite rule to hide my backend from vulnerability risk and download monitor has been working fine with this plugin long time before now until the download plugin stopped working recently.

Are you adding this to our plugin or are you just adding the file path?

Can you please create a new download, upload a file to it directly using our plugin, and then share with us the download URL generated by our plugin?
