    Hey @harmlessvikmartin,

We often see issues like this happening due to caching. I would recommend taking a look at this document and seeing if the suggestions listed there help:

    Thanks.

I was using WP fastest cache but I removed the plugin completely and the problem still happens. The cach on the server was also switched off so I think it must be something else.

    Any more ideas?

When I use a sandbox account I have to go in complete the order manually then click return to merchant. In this case the download button is there straight away…

When I pay for real I get auto returned to the site and in this case I have to refresh the page before I can see the download button – could it be connected to auto return?

    Hey @harmlessvikmartin,

Based on what you described, the next thing I would recommend is taking a look at this section of the docs that goes over troubleshooting IPN issues:

Since we haven’t heard back from you, I’m going to close out this thread. However, if you need any further assistance, feel free to create a new one. Thanks!

I am using the paypal sandbox.I see the download links in the ‘Thank You page’ for some orders and they are absent for some other orders. However, the email has the download links. Please help.

In my case I have to manually complete all my sandbox orders, so that was why the link wasn’t showing straight away when I used Sandbox.

For the real life case it turned out that Paypal was taking longer to complete the order than the time taken to return to the site, so there wasn’t a lot I could do if I wanted to use auto-return… except to put a note on the page asking the customer to refresh the page if they didn’t see the link.

Not sure if either of those answer your question but it’s all Ive got

@harmlessvikmartin – Thanks for sharing that update and suggestions!

@s4usa – Can you create a separate thread for your issue if harmlessvikmartin’s suggestions don’t resolve the issue on your site? Thanks!
