Download link is not working for me

why do you use “application/xml” to download an mp3?
Either you use a right type, or leave the type parameter coplete away, it′s optional for known filetypes like mp3.

I’m trying with type=”mp3″ and without type.

I wonder, if the relative path beginning with audio/ is correct, because the http error 404 means “file not found”.

That’s the URL that I’ve used on the first post.

I also have 125 URL that worked fine until I upgrade filedownload (1.2) just today. Once I upgrade 1.2 version the old links (same like this) doesn’t work.

I try the full path

here I have copied the shortcode exactly from above – this blog also uses the version 1.2 from filedownload – it is working well!

Perhaps you should reinstall the plugin? Might be a file was not installed completely. Very strange…

Your links are all correct set – otherwise my test above should not work – there must be another reason for this behaviour.

Try to reinstall version 1.1. Does this work again?

I don′t know these plugins…
…but normally the filedownload plugin does dot have any dependencies.

a last one: You could look, if the files in the .zip file are the same as on your server in “…/wp-content/plugins/filedownload/” (download with ftp)

I′m sorry for you, but it seems not that it has something to do with the new version of filedownload, because the link runs (at my blog with your link) and it has the same error with the old version 1.1 on your blog.

I know that this is less solace for you, but I have no more ideas…
