• Hi,

My site has downloadable products (.PDF, .Docx, .ePub & .Mobi files). Since yesterday, I’ve been getting a significant number of users saying that when they try to download the file (through WooCommerce), the download ends up being zero bytes in size.

I’ve confirmed this myself, with a test account. When I click on the download link, instead of taking a few seconds to download the files (approx 38MB’s in size), the download “completes” straight away and is zero bytes in size.

When I view the Dropbox link in the product, everything looks fine. Also, I can copy ‘n paste that link into a browser window and the file downloads fine as well. When I click the download link after purchasing the product though, the download results in a zero byte file.

I created a test product with the download file stored on the server itself (rather than Dropbox), and that downloads fine.

Everything has been working fine up until yesterday. The only thing that changed yesterday was the auto-update for WP 4.7.1. I haven’t updated any plugins for a number of days.

I’m wondering if there’s some compatibility issues with the plugin and WordPress 4.7.1 since that’s the only thing that has changed in the last few days.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. My site is https://easywpguide.com

    Thanks in advance.
    Anthony.
