Download File slow, and not downloading

  • When clicking on the Download File link, it takes forever to bring up the download box. Once it does and you click to download it…..it only downloads a few Kb’s of the file. When you try to open the file on your computer you just get an error.

    As an example, we just uploaded a 49mb mp3 file (which we don’t upload directly into WordPress, we upload it to our server outside the WordPress directory and then just copy and paste the link into the “upload” field) and when I tried to download the file, it only downloaded 89kb’s for the file. The podcast plays just fine on the site itself, and if I download the file via FTP from our server its fine and the entire file. Just won’t download the full file from off the podcast post itself.
