Have most recent version 1.14.4. Tried to download the backup I just made. It goes to dropbox, but I wanted to download from the download button on the settings page I received an error:
PHP event: code E_Notice: undefined variable: options (line 534, wp-content/plugins/updraftplus/methods/dropbox.php
and it didn’t download. I don’t know if it’s trying to download the local copy (which is deleted after the upload to dropbox) or the dropbox copy.
Are those download buttons on the existing backups page just for the local copy if it exists, or is it for the dropbox copy? Do I need to reconfigure it to save the local copy?

    Hi Terry,

Thank you for the report. I’ve fixed that in the current release just now – if you de-install UD, and re-install from www.remarpro.com, then the problem will be gone (your data/settings will be unaffected by doing that). It would be just a harmless PHP notice, but because on your setup you’ve got PHP notices configured to be sent to the browser (which should only be used for testing/development, not on live sites), it’s causing a problem.

When you say “on your setup you’ve got PHP notices configured to be sent to the browser” is that at the host level? wordpress level?

When I deactivate and then try to delete it, it asks me if I’m sure I want to delete the plugin and all its data. Will there be a further prompt asking me if I want to keep the data?

    Hi Terry,

That prompt is just WP core’s default/unfortunate wording. No data is deleted.

The PHP notices are set in your PHP configuration. How that’s done varies between hosts. Often it’s a php.ini file; or in your cPanel.

Ok, I did that, and the settings were there. I tried to download a file, and it just sat there. I did see another message below where it said it was downloading that said “Cloud Files authentication failed (Invalid username or access key.)”

I did try reauthenticating, but still got the message afterwards.

“Cloud Files authentication URL: https://auth.api.rackspacecloud.com (Feb 20 17:16:49)” is displayed over the last log message

    Hi Terry,

Turn on the ‘debug’ setting in the ‘expert’ section in the ‘Settings’ tab. Then try a downloading. A log file will be created in wp-content/updraft. You can use FTP, or the ‘download last log’ link in the main UD tab, to download it. Please can you paste its contents here?
