Download Count increases by 5 counts

    Hi,

    My download count increases by 5 or 3 for a single download that contains multiple pages. what could be the issues.

    Glad to help. Can you let me know the steps to repeat the error on default WordPress? That way I can repeat the issue and investigate asap.

    I installed and activated the plugin and uploaded a new pdf file. In the post I have a shortcode as

    [sdc_download id=”1010″ wrap=”div” text=”%title%” after=” – Total Downloads %count% | Type – %ext%” type=”button”].

    Initially it has 0 counts but once the download completes and I refresh the page the count is either raised by 3 or 5 and increases for one download.

    Okay thanks for explaining. What you describe does not happen on default WordPress, so I am guessing there is some interference from another plugin, or maybe something the theme is doing. Best advice is to do some basic troubleshooting. I would be glad to provide a guide if it might be useful for you.

    Thank you, I disabled all plugins and found that the theme Customify is adding the additional counts.

    Interesting, do you know more specifically what is happening, how the extra counts are added?
