• Hi. While trouble-shooting the broken download button in 1.8.10 I went to your page (see link) and you have the same issue!

Instead of downloading, the download button takes you to a new page/tab with a player. This happens in Firefox and Safari (download does work in Chrome).

My problem behaves just like the first example on your page “param – > all features”.

I clicked and unclicked download options in settings to no avail. (although in one of those configurations I get an error saying that the file is missing — it isn’t…since it had just played)

As a last resort, I went back to 1.8.6 and download button works.

Hopefully 1.8.6 doesn’t pose a security risk. —Does it?—

Thank you for your good work!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • I am encountering the same issue. Everything was working beautifully until I upgraded. After upgrading, I began receiving a message “The file https://xxxxx.cloudfront.net/xxxs.mp3 doesn’t exist; check the URL.” But it streams just fine. As dianeb suggests clicking on Use “default browser download capabilities” is a partial solution. But, when I downgraded to 1.8.6 & everything went back to being fine.

    Is there a solution?

I am also unable to download and get a url does not exist problem.

    Please help.

Got the same problem. While it’s being fixed, who can tell me where to get 1.8.6 to reinstal?
