I’ve installed the plugin and created my first download. Very easy!

When I put the short code on a post I can see the button but clicking on it does absolutely nothing.

I’m sure it’s me being dumb but I can’t work out what it is. There’s definitely a linked file.

    Hi,

Good to hear that our plugin is easy to use. Could you provide us with a link to your download form so we can see what is going on?

    Best regards,
    Team Download After Email

    P.S.
I am sure we don’t think it is you being dumb ??

I am having the same issue. I set up the button, successfully added it to my post, tested it live and it worked, but then when I tried it again (after making a change)… nothing happened when I clicked on the download button.

    Help!!!

I’ve had to unpublish it (can’t have broken things on our site) so I can’t give you a link sorry.

Probably something odd with our website. Thanks anyway.

You could see if it conflicts with another plugin (or your theme). Disable them one by one to see if your problem has been solved.

You could create an unlinked test page so that visitors do not end up on this page.

MKS – was the above input for me or your original poster?
I was able to get the download button to work, ask me for my info, and send me the download. But when I go to do it again (not sure if it is reading that my IP (laptop) already downloaded it…. because it doesn’t work a second time.

This is my shortcode that I cut/pasted into my page

    Hi @bboasbe,

(The input was meant for both of you.)

That’s right, the subscribe and download form is protected against excessive / unauthorized use. A visitor can receive a download link by email once per download file. A second time a message will appear stating that an email has already been sent with the download link. If it is necessary for a subscriber to use the form again, you can remove the subscriber from the subscribers log.

I was unable to test your download form because it was no longer present on your test page. If it is still needed, please let us know.

    Best regards,

@mkscripts — I am having the same issue. I tried uninstalling all other plugins on the site and tested it again but the download button still does nothing. I’m not getting any js errors on the page and like the other posters it worked just fine in the preview, but it doesn’t work on any pages or posts. Here’s a test page with it up: https://plantchicago.org/small-businesses/toolkit/
