    Hi there,

I have just tested your podcast on a freshly installed wordpress test site. Here the download link appear perfectly. The link to the site is following,

    https://renewed-mongoose.jurassic.ninja/sample-page/

    Possible causes for problem,

    1. If you recently made some changes, please flush the feed cache by following method,
1a. Go to WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Podcast Player
1b. Look for Feed updation tool on right sidebar
1c. Enter your ‘Feed URl’ and select ‘Full reset’ from the drop down. (Must be same as you are using to display your podcast with podcast player)
1d. Click on Update Now button.

Most likely it should be resolved if it is just a caching problem.

    2. If above does not work, then perhaps some other plugin is causing this issue. You may try disabling other plugins (and flush feed cache from step1 and see if it works).

Please inform if above solution do not work. We will try something else.

    Thanks,

Earlier, I used Block editor. Now I have changed it to following shortcode. Works perfectly there,

    [podcastplayer feed_url='https://www.parcequelavieexiste.com/feed/podcast/plve-podcast' number='10' podcast_menu='Your_menu_name' apple_sub='https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/id1434411118?l=fr']

i did do a full reset, checked that all my plugins were up to date, full reset again.
I am not sure what impacts it can have to disable any of those…

    Hi there,

It’s “Broken Link Checker” plugin, which is causing this issue.

    1. Deactivate “Broken Link Checker” plugin.
    2. Reset feed data as informed in above message (point 1)
    3. Check again.

Please inform if you need more help.

    Thanks,

    case resolved ??

just one question : on my website, when i click to download, it launches the download directly, the file name is always the same: https___www.parcequelavieexiste.com_podcast-download_254879_pqlv-415-banquise.wav

in your test site, it opens first another window and in that case the file name is correct.
how do you get that process?

    Hi,

There is no special setting I added on that website. I just created that test website and installed podcast player. However, when I checked on that test website, it was downloading the file (not opening in new window).

Perhaps just create a test website and perform some tests. You can easily create a test website from https://jurassic.ninja/

    Thanks,
