Hi Woocommerce Community,
As part of our new licenses business, we want to offer a trial period where the customers wouldn’t be charged if they reduced the number of licenses (downgrade). This doesn’t seem to be possible at the moment, please let me know if you have found any possible configuration to do it. See below the configuration and test scenario we have followed.Thanks.

==Initial configuration:
*1 customers: [email protected]
*1 Product: “Weekly Subscription v2”
-1 Variation (“License Type” attribute as “Basic”)
–Subscription Price: ￡7 (￡1/day)
–Virtual
–Trial one week
*Limit subscription to one of any status
*Prorate enabled only for upgrades (increase number of units)
*Prorate enabled for first payments for all subscription products

==Actions:
*Tuesday 10/04/2018
-Tester107 buys 5 licenses
*Wednesday 11/04/2018
-Tester107 reduces 3 licenses, so he has 2 licenses now

In this second action, when tester107 is downgrading his number of licenses, the order indicated “Upgrade” and he was actually charged ￡12 as if he was buying 2 licenses. Because he is still on trial period, I was expecting that this would be a Downgrade and it wouldn’t cost any additional money?

As far as I can tell, this should be possible with the WooCommerce.com Subscriptions plugin. If you have an active license, you can contact Prospress support directly through the marketplace:

Sorry Hannah for the late reply. The issue still happens. I have contacted Prospress support but they just suggested to add “this feature” in the suggestions area. I’m disappointed because I don’t consider this to be a feature, but a bug, so I would expect them to accept it as such.

Prospress develops Subscriptions themselves, so it’s up to them to decide what goes into the plugin. You’ve done the best thing you can by adding that idea. From here, others can vote for it and Prospress can take a look based on the popularity.
