Dowload Pop-Up Doesn’t Appear on Mobile Devices

But customers who pay using their phones never get the pop-up screen that says “download here.” They go through the payment process and then get nothing.

Have you tested this feature in your mobile device. Or can you get a family member or a friend to test this.

Yes. I’ve had several people test it. Never works on phones.

Hi, do you think it might have something to do with a cache issue in your site? Do you know if the issue is related to Android, IOS or Windows?

IOS for certain, but I’m not sure about Android or Windows. I don’t know if it’s a cache issue, but that seems unlikely.

on mobile devices it opens the window in a new tab (thats how this API of PayPal works on mobile devices). I did a test myself on my site just now (using my iPhone) and the full checkout works fine. You need to wait after you hit the pay button for PayPal to send back to the other window where it will popup the thank you message (with the download link for the digital item).

I just had someone else test it on their iPhone, and there is no new tab/window that opens. They simply paid through Paypal and then nothing. No confirmation.

Hi, then I assume that after the 45 seconds you woke up your phone and checked to see if you could see the other tab or PayPal notice, correct?

Of course. That doesn’t even make sense, because it wouldn’t/shouldn’t take that long for a new tab to open! As I stated above, this has been tested multiple times by multiple people on multiple different phones. They’ve all had the same experience: there is no new tab/window that opens. They simply paid through Paypal and then nothing. No confirmation.

Something in your site is blocking this process from happening in mobile devices. The problem is trying to pin point what is causing this issue.
