• Hi everyone!

    I am currently preparing a new version of my website on a local basis before putting it online -I am using a child theme with TwentySixteen etc. but I have a problem with my menu.

    It appears on top, but… also in the footer, just under my sidebar, when I go try the tablet or phone screen mode or simply reduce my window size a bit too much.

    I am using Visual Composer, Slider Revolution & Ultimate Social Media Icons as plugins.

    Also, these are the only Custom CSS modifications I made:

    .site-header{
    padding:3px
    }

    and

    .site-main > article {
    margin-bottom:5px
    }

    Thanks for your answer and help!

  • Yes that’s just referencing another sidebar below your posts.

    If you have widgets in place then I’m really not sure what to suggest other than try it without your child theme, if the widgets appear using the default theme then you’ll have narrowed down the issue somewhat.

    Well idk what the problem was but I desactivated the widgets then reactivated them and it now works! Thank you.

    How could I have a different sidebar (with for example “Most popular articles”) for some selected pages only?

    Thank you for your help really ??

    Also, is it possible to have my sidebar stay go under header and not in the footer when the screen is smaller? Thank you

    The easiest way to control your widgets visibility is to use the Widget Visibility module within the Jetpack plugin.

    It works great, you can setup a varied range of conditionals within each widget, you should certainly check it out as it’s far simpler than creating new sidebars and new page/post templates which would require a lot of custom coding.
