  • I’m having the exact same issue! Tried several times, same thing?

Blew 2 sites up big time right in the middle of the day and had lost cpanel details on one. Fun times.

Found my password and had to delete from cpanel and all is good now. I’ve gone through and deleted all old shortcodes from the older version. I’m going to try and manually download and see if I can remove the duplicates before uploading to see if I can get it working.

I am very sorry to hear this, we did not encounter this issue while testing and it seems to be only version 2.0.4 that is affected. Please either upgrade to version 2.0.6 (just released) or delete the plugin and install it fresh from WordPress.

Please try this and let me know if you are still having issues. Remember to always back up the files and database before you do any updates as well, just in case.

I cannot run this plugin. As soon as I click the save options I got a 404 error page. Surprisingly, the long URL shows the WP folder twice. I can get back to the panel to verify that all the previously entered data is gone. I deleted it and installed the last version twice, but getting the same results again. Time lost and frustration.

    Hello Mudante,

Can you tell me which version you are updating from and to? This issue only seems to appear on version 2.0.4. Can you confirm the version you are installing for me?

    Hello Sir,
Thanks for your reply. The version is the last updated one, 2.0.6 as the plugins panel shows it:
Version 2.0.6 | By Expert Business Search, LLC | Visit plugin site
It is a problem with double redirection to my WP folder.
Thanks again for your time and knowledge.

Please try version 2.0.7. We did identify a bug that may have been causing your issue and have patched it. If you have any further issues just let me know.

I am having the same trouble with the 404 error returned when trying to update the options. I am using version 2.0.7.

It sounds like the form on the settings page is referencing the form action url improperly. This was changed in 2.0.7 to remove the chance of that happening.

Could you please post your problem in a new thread as this one is not related to your issue, and also please try to explain more about your problem, such as your settings page URL, and the URL it is attempting to post form information to (the 404 address) If you would rather contact me privately by email you may do so at [email protected]

If you could, go to plugins -> editor -> Local Search SEO Contact Page -> seo-contact-page-settings.php and look at the file version information at the top of the file (this was added in 2.0.7 so if you do not see any version, you are not on the latest version)
