Hello. We periodically have several times increased stock on products, when we Purchase order is transferred to the status Completed. I think this happens when there are a lot of products and they do not have time to be processed in one operation (php time limit is triggered). The user either clicks Refresh in the browser and this PO is processed again or the browser does it automatically – I don’t know. As a result, we have an incorrect quantity of products and it is very difficult to correct it later. For example, last time it was a PO for 350 products and the stock doubled in 35 of them.

    Please help

    Hi @richardferlow,

    Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Did you check your error log when the issue happened? Is anything related to ATUM or a max time error saved there?

Did you try to increase the max_execution_time variable?

You can also try to activate the ‘Calculated properties CRON’ in ATUM Settings -> Advanced. Please note that this will cause some of the ATUM’s calculated properties to be outdated until the CRON is executed.

Is it possible to make it so that there is no double stock increase? We have CRON enabled…there was no way to check for errors because we discovered it a month later. If during PO saving the internet goes down – the operation will also be interrupted and the stock for some items will increase several times when saving again, right?

    Hi @richardferlow,

Not sure what you are asking for.

The stock shouldn’t be increased again if the changing PO status process is interrupted. We store when the stock is changed in a field to prevent increasing it twice (theoretically, the issue could happen to only one item and only if the process is interrupted just after saving the order note).

So, we see no reason why your issue should happen. That’s why I asked you for the logs. I kindly suggest waiting for the error to happen again and then checking for the logs ASAP. We’ll be glad to help you if you can provide further information about the error.

I got that “big order” again today. Purchase Order for 250 products. It doesn’t manage to execute for max_execution_time even if I set it to 20 minutes. As a result, some of the products have increased stock, PO status changes to recieved…some products have increased stock, but no PO Notes are added. But most of the products have not changed their stock. We can select status – Pending and click Update – for some products the stock decreases back, for some products it doesn’t. Then we will try again to change to Recieved status, but the result will be the same =(.

After that, it’s a complete mess with the product stock =(((

How can this be fixed? And why does this process take so long?

    Hi @richardferlow,

And what about the error log?

Are you using any AUM add-on in addition to ATUM free? Which one if so?

    Hi @richardferlow,

ATUM Action Logs shouldn’t affect the process.

Sorry, the error in your browser isn’t what I asked for in my post. Would you be so kind as to check the PHP error log?
The last time you said nothing was found because you checked the logs one month later, so we’re waiting for the error to occur again to check them.

    Best Regards,
    José Andrés
