• Hi team,

We enjoy your plugin across multiple of our websites but lately it is double posting to LinkedIn each blog post that we publish. It started some time after mid July, I assume. We have to go to LinkedIn after each submission and delete the extra post. We can see it double posting in WordPress as well as it shows 2 posts, like this:

    July 28, 2023 10:05 (Website name here)
    July 28, 2023 10:05 (Website name here)

August 16, 2023 8:25 am (Website name here)
August 16, 2023 8:25 am (Website name here)

The above are taken from 2 different websites.

    Are you aware of that?

    Thanks.

    Hi @contrid,

Thanks for your enquiry and I am sorry to hear you are having an issue.

Providing you are using the plugin correctly, i.e. you aren’t clicking the “Share Now” button in the metabox and then publishing the story (which will share the post twice to LinkedIn, one time on the share now button and the other when publishing), I think the issue might have to do with corruption of the settings.

To resolve this, please go to the “Help” tab in the plugin settings, and then go to the question “How do I clear all plugin settings?” and then click the “here” link to delete the settings. This will of course delete all the plugin settings – so if you have a customised share message template, you might want to copy this somewhere before clicking this link.

Then go to the “Connect” tab and reconnect with linkedIn and select your profiles again and then the issue should be resolved. I think what is happening is you have multiple profiles saved for the one LinkedIn page (even though it looks like just 1 is selected) and this is why the double share is happening.

    Thanks,

Apologies for the delay. Thank you for your reply!

I do see multiple profiles for each website, yes, but only one is chosen, the one pertaining to that business. I’ll try your suggestion and will see how it goes. It never happened before ~mid July, however.

    Thanks again.
