    I didn’t want to hi jack that other thread, but I am having a similar issue. My users are not getting subscribed when I use the double opt in feature. The email never gets sent. Also I do not see a error in the error log. When I turn off double opt-in my users get subscribed. but the subscription does not show up in the wordpress plugin interface, but does show up in mailchimp. URL to test is https://hoodreview.tv/

    BTW, I saw the FAQ and I waited hours for the entries to show up or emails to be sent. They never show up or send.

    Hello @purplepills,

    Can you please let us know what you meant by “subscription does not show up on WordPress plugin” The “Reports / Log” is a feature available only in paid version of our plugin. Do you have a active license to our paid version?

    In the wordpress dashboard when I go to the section Mailchimp for WP -> Mailchimp. Part ways down the interface I see a section that is a list of my lists in Mailchimp. Also in that section it has a number of my subscribers. When I turn-off double opt-in, use the form on my site, Users make it into my subscribers when I log in to mailchimp and view from there. But in your wordpress plugin that information never updates. The issues are probably not related, but just thought I would let you know what I am experiencing. Also I do not have a paid version. Would not mind making the jump to it once I can see the free version is working.

    Hello @purplepills,

    The subscriber count in the plugin is not updated immediately to avoid sending too many requests to your MailChimp.com account. To get an updated count, you can try clicking on the “Renew MailChimp Lists” button which will pull the new count and update it in your website.

    Thanks for the info. But the over arching issue is the plugin does not work when double opt-in is selected. On my page I get the success submission message. But the email is never sent for the user to opt-in. Here is the link to the form (double opt-in is enabled)

    Hello,

    I apologize for the delay in getting back. Please note that our plugin does not send the double opt-in email. It’s sent from your MailChimp account and we have no control over it. Secondly, I just tested your form using support email and I did receive the double opt-in email.     This is the EXACT issue I am having also. If the Mail Chimp plugin does not send the double opt-in email, why is there a choice in the plugin to choose “double opt-in”?

    Second: How would one go about making sure MailChimp sends it?
