    I have a top bar and a sidebar widget using the MailChimp for WP plugin.

    I want to have double opt-in enabled. However when i do this it doesn’t add the users to the list once i go through the confirmation email process.

    Enter my email > Confirm sub page > get confirmation email > subscribed > Check my list in MailChimp = not added?

    When i have double opt in disabled, i do not get any of the confirmation emails, but it DOES add to the list?

    Any help?

    Hi tinkertravels,

    Most likely what you’re seeing is the MailChimp web cache. From our experience, if you search for the subscriber’s exact email address you will most likely see the subscriber. Otherwise, try waiting for an hour or so to see if the subscriber shows up on the list.

    If the plugin shows the success message then it correctly sent the subscriber to MailChimp. From there it is MailChimp sending out the confirmation email. If you click the link in that email to confirm your email address then you will show up on the list, but it can sometimes take a few minutes for it to really show up (because of caching).
