I have been using cbnet for at least a couple of years. It has always done the job for which it was intended. However, since the latest updates, moving the settings to the Discussion and Profile pages, I am having a specific problem.

The only thing I want cbnet to do is to send me an email when someone comments on a post that is written by one of my coauthors. If I check the boxes to make that happen, it works. However, I also receive two notification emails when someone posts a comment on one of my own posts. I can not seem to find the right combination of settings that will allow me to receive comment notification when a comment is made on another author’s post and at the same time, only receive one comment notification when someone comments on my own posts.

Hmm, that’s an interesting one. Are you 100% sure the emails are going to the same email address? (e.g. is it possible that one is a forwarded email or alias?)

Okay, I just tested this, and was able to reproduce it. Should be easy to track down; I’ll try to get a fix out shortly.

    Thanks for reporting!

Hey, thank you for the plugin and for answering my questions. I seldom have problems with anything to do with WordPress, but you are the first plugin author who has responded to the few problems I have had. I appreciate that.

I’ll be looking forward to the fix.

No worries. I’m happy to be able to support my Plugins!

I just pushed version 2.1.1, which should fix this issue. Please let me know if you still have issues with multiple emails, or if you experience any other issues.

    Thanks again!

I just did some extensive testing with the new update to cbnet and all seems to be well. Once again, thank you for your quick attention.

I am having this issue i am running 3.7.1 wordpress and Version 3.0 of cbnet Multi Author Comment Notification. The only difference i think would exist is that the site is installed on a different url than what we are using eg thisblog.com is where we installed it but the live url is thatblog.com

I dont think this would have issues like that but it could be the reason.

@stepjoe, per the WPORG forum rules, please start a new topic for your issue, as it is separate from the OP in this topic. Also, separate topics facilitate me being able to follow up and resolve all issues. Thanks.

i apologize for that. I opened a new topic.
