    Hi,
If I connect Google analytics and check chrome tag assistant extension show the following code…

    1.Global site tag (gtag.js)
    UA- XXXXXXX -6
    2.Google Analytics
    UA- XXXXXXX -6

And second one recommend this Non-standard implementation optimization.
    ——————————

IF I also connect tag manager then ….

    1.Global site tag (gtag.js)
    UA- XXXXXXX -6
    2.Google Analytics
    UA- XXXXXXX -6

    3.Google Tag Manager
    GTM-PXXXXX

Here also second one recommend Same web property ID is tracked twice and Non-standard implementation optimization.

I didn’t add GA code via another plugin or manually. Google site kit ad the code twice and google tag assistant extension show strange sentence about optimization.

    Thankyou.

    @streetboybd thanks for your inquiry!

    1) For the first, Site Kit is inserting the recommended code snippet called Global Site Tag (gtag.js). The script makes a call to the Google Analytics tracking code (analytics.js). So this isn’t a duplicate, but rather how the code works. Tag Assistant detects both of these instances.

    2) For the second, it appears you may be using an additional Analytics tracking implementation in Tag Manager. Site Kit currently cannot detect the Analytics tag in Tag Manager, so you’ll need to choose whether you want to use Site Kit’s snippet or Tag Manager to insert the tracking code.

If you choose Tag Manager, you can remove Site Kit’s snippet under Site Kit > Settings > Analytics > Edit and manually configure the Account, Property, and View you want to display in Site Kit’s dashboards.

    Dear,
So you tell me that showing two code actually the process of working, got it.

I also understand why it say duplicate when I activate tag manager in site kit.

Now which one is the best practice to implement GA code ? Using tag manager or analytics?

And what about Non-standard implementation this optimization text. Does not matter how I implement the code, this text appear. Is there anyway to stop this.

    Thankyou.

@streetboybd If you are looking to add additional tracking or custom events you may prefer to do so via Tag Manager. The Site Kit implementation inserts the basic Analytics tracking script to get you started.

There is an open GitHub feature request on the Site Kit repository for additional event tracking which you can add your input to.

And what about Non-standard implementation this optimization text. Does not matter how I implement the code, this text appear. Is there anyway to stop this.

You’ll find out more about that when you click on the link from within the Tag Assistant Chrome extension. I can confirm your setup is correct, it may be something that requires an update from this plugin extension, but I can bring it up with the team.

Thank you for explain the issue.
    I will use tag manager.

And as I added code through tag manager and its correct as you mentioned I will ignore Non-standard implementation optimization text.

    Thank you.
