Double count in some posts

Hello Torben,

you can flush the shares at a single post by deleting the specific custom fields directly from the post edit screen. Its not very user friendly but working. The custom fields are: mashsb_shares and mashsb_jsonshares

Can be done from the post editor. You just need to enable the custom fields meta box from here: https://take.ms/ctRJd

So, whats the exact issue now? Please note that the option is intended to multiply the shares because it accumulates the shares from http AND the https endpoint. It’s intended to be used when you moved your site from one domain to another to make sure that your old shares are not getting lost.

If you just use the http endpoint on your site and you do not want to get cumulated shares for http endpoint just leave the option disabled. The https shares will be counted.

Running it through the debugger I get 127 from the old http and 68 from the https. But where does the rest come from?

Whats the result of the custom fields there? The rest could be twitter shares or shares by another network.

If this is not the case than its likely that facebook is returning a different amount of shares than it did in the past and if you want your shares to be accurate you need to purge the cache again.

For performance reasons and the non consistency of the returned network shares
we decided to not decrease shares when a network decides to return less shares than they were returning before.

195 + 68 = 263;)

As i already said, the shares of http and https are cummulated if you enable the https option. If you only want to show shares of your main endpoint just disable the option.
