• Hello everyone,

Sorry if I should not be in the right forum. i just did not find any other way how to create a topic.

As the headline describes I just start to build our blog. Now I wanted to create a simple navigation for our site. Visitors can either search by countries or by interests. Lets say somebody is interested in South Africa he could go to the country section and easily finds things about South Africa. But if you are interested in food in general you would use the food section.

You can find an example post in the Sport section and Cape Town section. Now to my question, would Google see this post as doubled content or not?

In the end it is still one post, but it appears in two different parts of the website. I could not find a clear answer, so I wanted to ask again. In the categories tab when I create the post I also saw the primary tag. Does that have an influence?

Would highly appreciate if somebody could assist.

    Thanks in advance!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

If a post uses multiple categories, each category listing will show the post. WordPress puts a “canonical” meta tag in the post’s header, so Google will simply see that there are multiple ways to get to the same post.

Hello STeven, thank you for the fast feedback! And that wont hurt my SEO? Because the structure of the blog is quite important, because I dodnt want to touch it in the following months.

No, it won’t hurt your SEO. That’s what the canonical tag is all about.
