This plugin inserts two </noscript> closing tags for every one <noscript> opening tag, which throws an error in Google Search Console for every AMP page that contains an image.

Example of the double closing tags:

<div id=”attachment_1496946″ class=”wp-caption alignright amp-wp-bd90b25″><amp-img class=”wp-image-1496946 amp-wp-enforced-sizes” src=”https://cdn.stmarytx.edu/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/moipei-triplets-commencement-2018.jpg&#8221; alt=”Moipei Triplets singing at Spring Commencement 2018″ width=”428″ height=”287″ layout=”intrinsic”><noscript>Moipei Triplets singing at Spring Commencement 2018<noscript>Moipei Triplets singing at Spring Commencement 2018</noscript></noscript></amp-img><p class=”wp-caption-text”>Marta (from left), Magdalene and Mary Moipei sing at the University’s 166th annual Spring Commencement in May.</p></div>

When the plugin is disabled, the duplicate noscript tag disappears.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • @wpgirl369,

You do not need lazy loading on AMP pages. Such pages should be auto skipped. If they are not, please add amp pages to the exclusion list

Right, it would be better if the plugin automatically excluded lazy loading. I’m using the plugin that’s just called “AMP”.

In the meantime, is there a way to exclude all URLs that end in /amp/ ? Right now all I see is a way to exclude a single URL at a time, and I have thousands of AMP alternatives.

@wpgirl369, Just add /amp to the exclusion list, and you should be all good.

    Best regards,
    Anton

Thanks, that worked. ?? I had expected it would only work for pages with URLs beginning with /amp but it worked for the ones ending in /amp/.
