Double captcha on login screen

Hi can you disable all your plugins except this one. Do you still see two captchas in the login form?

I won’t be able to disable all the plugins because, the login screen is coming from either BuddyPress or Woocommerce. Let me find which one is creating the login screen, then I shall be able to provide you a proper feedback. Thanks for the prompt reply.

The login & register screen is generated by BuddyPress, I was trying to disable different plugins and reloading the register page / login screen for the effect, somehow in between i managed to break the existing functionality of SI-Captcha. Now the captcha image is not showing – only a text CAPTCHA Image with refresh image button is available. Also the Login screen still has two captcha without any captcha image.

To find out what may be the problem, I ran Inspect Element in Firefox and found that the CAPTCHA Image component in Registration page has the following code:

and it showing a tooltip Could not load image. I tried to deactivate / remove / re-install the plugin, but no use. Any idea why it is happening so?

Do you have a cache plugin installed?

I have installed only SI Captcha plugin – no other captcha plugin.

The help page is for the contact form plugin but the captcha plugin has an almost identical captcha code

It is actually happened due to Restrict wp-content access was enabled in Sucuri Security Plugin. Removing the hardening in that area immediately solved the problem. However, the dual captcha image in login area is still not yet resolved.

Hi Manas, can you disable all your other plugins except this one. If you have a cache plugin installed can you also clear the cache. Also clear the browser cache. Then try again and see if you still see two images? If you do can you test one of WordPress default themes like Twenty Fifteen?
