Double buffering both FB and Twitter

    Hi,

    I’m fully updated (in settings, only Posts>On Publish is checked), and every time a scheduled post is published (scheduled after this plug-in was installed and functional), I get a double post to my Buffer (FB & Twitter). The first is stripped of all metadata, oddly, the second is just fine.

    Any help would be much appreciated.

    i got the same problem, sometimes its even buffered 3 times. should i send you a mail too?

    Have the same problem. Content is double posted to G+…. ??

    I’m having the same problem. Well almost the same.

    Here’s the situation:

    When I publish the post immediately it posts normally on social accounts connected. But when I schedule publishing it posts image only, and then image and text. I do like the image posting with text, but only image is really annoying.

    I think I found what is causing this behavior. I have missed schedule plugin installed that goes through all posts regularly to see if anything is missed schedule. I have to use this because for some reason my WP doesn’t publish posts on scheduled time.

    I think that this plugin is somehow interfering with buffer and sends the ping one more time after the publishing process is done.

    Can anyone confirm this?

    This was absolutely, 100% fixed in version 2.2.1. We spent around 8 hours thoroughly debugging the issue, finding the cause and resolving it to prevent this double post bug.

    Your issue lies with WordPress:

    You shouldn’t need to rely on a third party plugin to publish your posts – WordPress is more than capable of handling scheduled posts itself.

    We wouldn’t provide support for this third party configuration. Happy to support if you get scheduled posts working on WordPress without the use of a third party plugin and still get the double post bug behaviour.
