    Hello,

I just started my first WordPress website and encountered an issue while adding widgets to the footer using widget menu. I added a column block but it floats to the left, like if there was ghost block following it. When I delete the columns there are two buttons for adding a new block (usually there is one) and I cannot remove either of them. I suspect, that the second + button is acting like a ghost block making footer content shift to the left.

Is there any way to fix it? I can edit css or html if needed, but I do not know where to look for this specific part.

Thanks for reading, please leave an answer if you know how to help me.

    WordPress version: 4.9.7
    Elementor: v3.4.4
    Ashe Extra: 1.2.6

  • Hi, I am not sure I have understood the issue you are having correctly.

Since it sounds like the issue Appears when editing/creating a page, can you see the “ghost block” in the live site as well? I.E, do the widgets float to the left on the live site?

Which steps have led to this problem or which steps have you tried so far to resolve it?
Also, if you could provide the following, it’ll be great:
Some screenshots / a Screencast ?of the issue.

As the first step for troubleshooting, try to use “Safe Mode”.

It’s a safe environment that isolates Elementor and WordPress from all themes and plugins, it helps multiple users solve issues like this.

Read about the feature here: https://elementor.com/help/what-is-safe-mode/

If it did help, then there is a plugin/theme conflict that causes this issue, try to deactivate all plugins and turn them one by one till you find the culprit.

    Hope it helps.
