Donwload link redirects to homepage

I see that clicking on the download link in this forum demonstrates the issue nicely: Rather than receiving the file download I’m taken to the homepage instead. While pasting the URL directly into my browser will download the file as expected.

By any chance you have the prevent hotlink setting enabled? That could explain why it doesn’t work from external websites.

Hi Razvan. Thanks for your reply. We’re the client for this issue. I thought that I’d chime in with a reply as I suspect @avblink has probably now logged off for the week.

Sadly it’s not as simple as the Prevent Hotlinking setting being on. I can confirm that it is turned off.

However….
I just toggled that switch on and off again and now the issue seems to be fixed! Thanks for the suggestion. I guess that something must have got disconnected in the background recently and toggling that switch refreshed the hotlinking setting to be correct.

Sorry. It’s my fault for diving in too quick. I’d assumed that @avblink had finished for the day but, in fact, he was checking the Hotlink switch at the same time as me! He must have turned it off seconds before I looked and then our posts crossed in the ether ??
