    Don’t seem to modify anything on page code source. The
    <a href="mailto:[email protected]">[email protected]</a>
    it is the same when viewing source code in browser. It is supposed to shown obfuscated code.

    Please disregard. My mistake. I add the filter on the template fuctions.php and all is set. Working fine on WP4.3.1 on all mailto: all over the site. Attention, Firefox and Chrome “Inspect code” show the decoded email. You need to make a CRTL-U (View page source) to see the magic ! Hope spam robots have a hard day.
