• Hey Thimo,

I just wanted to reach out and say thank you for creating such a great plugin. I’ve been using it for a while now, and it’s been a huge help for my website.

I did have a question for you though. I noticed that the plugin uses the Transient API in WordPress, and I’ve been having some issues with it not working properly when the expiration time is set to 0. Specifically, when using an object cache like Redis, it seems like the data is getting deleted even though the expiration is set to 0, especially when memory gets tight.

I was wondering if there’s any way that this could be fixed? I think it would be a better idea to use the Options API or to set up a cron job that can fetch fresh data.

Let me know if you have any questions or need any more information.

    Thanks,
    Flo

    Hi Flo,

    Thank you for your feedback!
Mostly I’m proposing to disable object caches, because of your findings. I must admit that I’m currently out of time maintaining the plugin as necessary.
If someone wants to participate extending and maintaining the plugin, is very welcome.

    Thanks,
    Thimo
