don’t use it

  • I suddenly got warnings of unnatural database table – growth and I found 465,585 (fourhundredsixtyfivethousand fivehundred eightyfive!) entries in the tbele “wswp_ig_sending_queue”

    Then I found that although I only use one or two shortcodes at my site, this plugin had copied one of these shortcodes 1.5554 times!

    What a bullshit! This is really horror and very bad programming.

    Don’t use this plugin or your database will explode very fast!

    I see this plugin as database spam

    plus: 3114 campaigns in the campaign-list + 110747 in the contact-table and thousands in the mailing_queue-table

    this plugin runs crazy! And it destroys the creditibility of the users!

    @avantart Just want to update you that we are not spamming your database. There must be some issue with database migration and because of this it creates duplicate entries.

    I did not migrate any databases, I just used your plugin and updated regularily

    We released ES 4.0.18. In that there is a provision to rerun the migration. Please rerun it from Email Subscribers > Help & Info page and check once again. It should fix the issue.

    I can’t test it because I uninstalled it completely
    you will understand that thousands of mails in the queues etc. broke my repution, I have to clean my IP from blocklists etc.

    I won’t use it anymore, but I am glad that you did something and I hope this horror will not happen to any other users

    I can understand how frustrating it is when something doesn’t work where actually you expect it to work.

    Anyways, we have improved a lot since we released ES 4.0 and fixed all known issues by now.

    I thought to reconnect with everyone who tried Email Subscribers in past and had issues. So, they can recheck current version and use it.

    it’s completely your choice to use the latest version or not. But, it would be great if you can give it a try once again and if you feel everything works, you can change your review. so that fellow WordPress user will get the frank feedback about Email Subscribers.
