All uploads seem restricted to going into at least wp-contents.

I’ve tried putting in a url of the folder I want it to go to on my wordpress directory but it just creates it under wp-contents/url I entered.

Is it possible to change it? The folder I want to use is on the same level as wp-contents.

Oh and just a quick second question. Does %useremail% only send to that email if there was an input box where the user enters their email? Or can it ready from the users account email?

    Hi,

    1. Yes you can save in wp root (same level as wp-content). The Upload Path should be “../” (the two dots take you one level up).

    2. Suppose you create an email field. Then the variable %userdata1% inside notification recipients will be replaced by the email entered by the user.

    Worked perfectly! Thanks!

I’m having the same issue even with the ../ in the directory it’s still uploading everything into the wp-contents/uploads folder

    [wordpress_file_upload uploadpath=”../uploads-support/%username%” fitmode=”responsive” createpath=”true” duplicatespolicy=”maintain both” uniquepattern=”datetimestamp” placements=”filename+selectbutton+uploadbutton/message” successmessage=”File %filename% uploaded successfully to %filepath%” widths=”plugin:100%” userdatalabel=”Your message|t:text|s:bottom|r:0|a:0|p:inline|d:” postlink=”true”]

Hi, your shortcode syntax seems correct. Are you using any page builders to edit pages?
