Don’t show old downloads to new customers

    Hi,

    I would like to know if there is a possibility for new customers do don’t have access to old downloads ? Because I often update my products (PDF).

    When I add a new download (new download file row), only new purchasers gain permission to download it. Which is a good thing.

    But is it possible to do the same in the other direction? And make sure that new customers don’t see the old version of the file. Because they risk being lost if they see two versions.

    As you’ve discovered with the way downloadable files work in WooCommerce customers would gain access to all the downloadable files present on that product at the time they purchase the product. So if you had multiple files added to a product customers who purchase that would have access to all of those files.

    I’m finding solutions to show all users new downloadable files but not the other way around of restricting new customers from seeing older downloadable files which remain on the product ??

    It may be possible to have a developer write some custom code that could achieve this though. If you would like to investigate that possibility further, you could reach out to some of the official WooCommerce development partners via the link below.
