I kind of have a double question here.

What I am wanting to do is to only show events that are currently or have not yet happened in the list view. IE, I do not want to show past or expired events.

Oddly, I feel like it used to do that and has changed. I customized a bunch of stuff so I might have thrown something off.

So, the two questions are, is there a standard or best way to remove events from my list view once they have finished

    and,

Can someone point me to where tribe_get_events gets called for the list view? There’s so many files I just tend to get a little lost in them.

Lastly, I’ve seen this question asked before but the answer is always a bit different and some of them are pretty old.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hey there @sixtel!

Thanks for reaching out — that’s a great question, I can help with that ??

This is how our demo site looks, it doesn’t show past events in list view unless the Previous events link is clicked → https://wpshindig.com/events/list/

This may be indeed due to your modifications, I’d try enabling another theme like Twenty Seventeen and see if the issue persists.

    Hope that helps!

Hm. I think it may be something in the event calendar files that I’ve overrode.

Can you point me to where that function is called that sets it up to display current and generate previous button?

I did a little further testing. It seems to be something in the most current update that was released. I rolled back to the previous version and the issue stopped.

I can’t figure out what that means exactly…I noticed that several functions have become deprecated so perhaps in my override files I’m using deprecated functions that have been removed?

Anyway it’s working the way I want it to now, although I guess I can’t update anymore.

Which version breaks the views and which works fine?

You might be right about the deprecated PHP functions, especially if you are pretty heavily modified.

Well..I can’t seem to reproduce the issue now so I’m thinking it was some other plug-in or something causing a conflict.

If I am able to replicate it I will update with further details.

    Thanks.

Awesome! Glad you got it figured out.

I’m going to go ahead and close out this thread — don’t hesitate to create a new one any time you need help!

    Take care,
    Ed ??
