• Hi,

I love that you’ve recently added the ability to whitelist certain domains, so I gladly removed the custom code I wrote to do the same.

However, I then realized that it’s not exactly what I’m looking for, which is the ability to treat all non-primary domains as external but without adding nofollow to them.

The use case is that some domains, like a sister site of ours and Playboard.me, which requires no nofollow or else their widget stops working, need to not be nofollow. But I still want to pop them up in a new tab. Right now that seems impossible – it’s one or the other.

Would it be possible to rework the whitelist to select what it should enable/disable? I’d only want to disable the nofollow bit for whitelisted urls.

    Thanks.

I understand the request. It does add a bit more complexity in the configuration.

If you simply added the target=”_blank” to these links it is preserved by the plugin. Or are there large numbers of this sister links?

    Hi Mike,

Well, there are quite a few of these links. If push came to shove, I would have just removed the domain from the list and restored the custom code I put in to skip adding nofollow to certain domains (though I’d need to code it up again since I wiped them after updating to the latest).

I’m also envisioning more sister sites springing up in the future. I may not be the only one wishing for some flexibility here. At least, I’d like to think so.
