    Hi there!

I just found your nice plugin and installed it.

    I have WP 3.6.1 + NextGenGallery v1.9.13
And when I select an image in my media library it comes back to your plugin fine. i’ve tried to select titel + and caption, or leave the selection unselected, either way i get the strange error that the image is not an image..?! “face.jpg is not an image. Error in transfering selected image.”

I tried to creat a new gallery (withing NextGenGallery) and added a file by browsing on up from my computer in to the new gallery i just made (test, same as I tried to add to with your plugin) and that way it works, and the image shows up in my test gallery.

Any ideas to why it thinks my medialibrary files (all jpg) is “wrong format”..?

One more question about your plugin, (that’s not specified in the general info), will it leave the image in the medialibrary (upload) folder, and just point the url to it being there. Or will it copy it to the NextGenGallery folder where the other gallery images are stored?

    Thanks in advance !!

    Have a nice weekend!

One more thing i noticed now.

I tried to swap from NextGen Gallery plugin to the promising plugin “NextCellent Gallery” (providing NextGEN legacy compatibility from version 1.9.13) wich I hoped would solve my problem and make your plugin work for me. But it seems your plugin only looks for a NextGenGallery plugin being installed/activated.
Would be nice feature in upcoming version if you added functionality for this NextCellent Gallery plugin as well ??

    Thanks! ??

I doubt we will be supporting any future features for this addon.

Unfortunately, we learned a hard lesson in dealing with a parent plugin that isn’t ours. NextGen Gallery really messed up during their release of NGG 2.0. And even though the Legacy version is still available, it will likely stop working very soon, as the NGG developers are no longer supporting it.

We are only allowing our Addon to remain in the directory for those 5000+ users that have found it useful. My guess is that the legacy version will soon cease to operate for those of us that regularly update WP.

It is just not in our best interest to continue spending time on an addon that will likely no longer work, for a 3rd Party Parent plugin that really takes no interest in their extension developers.

If we decide to develop a similar plugin, it will be one that is NOT reliant on any other plugins to operate, and only relies on the functionality of the WP Media Library for added features.
