Don't know how to set-up Facebook app

Hi everyone, I’m new to this plugin and tried to configure it, though I can’t follow the instructions at all!
Every step for creating a Facebook app is messed up in the documentation: apps are totally different now on Facebook, the documentation is very old and I have no idea how to set an app… I’m not a coder, can anyone help me with a step-by-step guide please?
