• Hi all!

I tried to get a list of links form a link-subcategory. So, I put the shortcut

    [link-library settings="1" categorylistoverride="323"]

Within my page. I only get the repsonse

"All of your links must be assigned at least to one category to be displayed"

If I point on the parent-category, I got everything displayes – and even more that I like to.

What could be wrong? Or what could be my fault?

Thanks a lot in advance for your help!

    Thanks,
    Frank

Sorry for the late response. Indeed, there was a problem when you provided sub-category IDs in the categorylistoverride field. This has been corrected in version 6.1.7. Please update and try this if you still need that functionality. Also please consider donating to support this plugin’s development.

Thank you for your help. I’ve made a donation to your plugin.

Can you assist with the following?
the Categories and child categories links do not work.

Thank you for your donation and sorry for the slow response. I am currently travelling in the Philippines for work and don’t have a lot of time to myself.

Looking at the site you pointed to, I do not understand what the issue is.

I see that you have two sub-categories under the Basketry category, one for forums and another for history, and both of these categories are displayed on your page, each with their links.

What are you expecting to see that is not working?

I’ve just added two categories with their child categories with about 170 links and descriptions. Only 2 of the child categories are showing up under Basketry (should be 4)
    Forums and Communities
    Books and blogs
History and Practices in different parts the World
    Videos

    and the following under Dyeing
    Forums and Communities
    Books and blogs
History and Practices in different parts the World
    Videos
    For Sale
    Magazines
    Museums
    Planners, calculators and work sheets
    Scholarly Papers & Research Publications
    Service Opportunities

The lists seem to format all over the place without any order or organization. Please advise. Can I provide you with admin access to see whats going on here?
    Thx

Do all of your sub-categories contain links? If not, there is a default option under the Common settings called ‘Hide if empty’ or something like that. Having this on will hide empty sub-categories. You could uncheck that option, or just male sure that all sub-categories contain link.
