Don’t do it please!

Please do not enforce this as default on WordPress sites!

A big part of the web runs on WordPress, and the websites are built around the Classic or other page editors. This will break lots of sites, create confusion and also will slow down the sites upgrading to WP 5 (probably will stay on 4, missing critical updates).

Would be better if Gutenberg is an opt-in feature or a separate plugin, like stated in WordPress Philosophy actually

If the next version of WordPress comes with a feature that the majority of users immediately want to turn off, or think they’ll never use, then we’ve blown it
